Everyone seems to be blogging these days!

  • Why is it so big?
  • Who blogs?
  • Why do they blog?
  • Should I blog?
  • What would I write about?

These were all questions I was asking myself, even after reading so many fabulous blogs that cover such a variety of subjects.

So I found this ‘Blogging for Beginners’ course run by the Australian Writers’ Centre, presented by a woman whose blog I read – Where’s my Glow?  (Check it out – I love the way Glowless writes about everyday life and her honesty is priceless.)  Here are just some of the other blogs I’m reading that inspired me to look into blogging further.

So, after reading a bit of the blurb about what the course was all about, I signed up, impatient that I had to wait over two months to do the course.

Anyway, I now know why I should blog, and what I can write about.  I thought that I didn’t really have anything to write about, but I soon came up with a dozen or so ideas straight off the top of my head.  Trae, who presents the course, just makes you want to get on and give it a go.  In addition, with my business as a Personal Concierge offering such a personal service, and needing to build people’s trust and confidence in me, I thought this might be a great way to share some of my experiences and personal insights. Hey, I’m not even sure I can write!  But embracing all the changes that have occurred for me over the last 6 months since redundancy, I’m willing to give anything a go 🙂

If you’re interested, the course is great!  Easy to follow, taking you through all the steps, and a demo of setting up a blog – it really is simple.  All presented in a relaxed way with plenty of humour and life experiences thrown in by Trae.

Do you read blogs?  Maybe you’d like to share which ones interest and inspire you?
